GCN Talent is part of the Global Conference Network, which was established to provide quality information, events and services for the global conference industry. Their reach now extends significantly beyond the conference sector.
GCN Talent positively facilitates the movement of senior level candidates within the conference, exhibition and live events industries worldwide and offers a recruitment partnering resource for hiring companies, providing expert consultation and dramatically reducing time to hire.
GCN Talent is managed by co-Directors Kevin Hosier and Katharine Mann.
Kevin has been involved with the conference and exhibitions sector since 1994, working in content production and management with a variety of companies including IIR/Informa, Emap, and DMG, before establishing Media Types, his own recruitment business serving the industry in 2001. Prior to co-founding GCN Talent with the Global Conference Network, Kevin was Head of Global Recruitment and Talent Management at UBM (Conferences).
Katharine has 20 years experience in exhibitions and publishing sales. Starting her career at the Guardian Media Group selling classified advertising she moved on to live events joining Penton/Ithaca Media where she became a Show Director after 5 years, following UBM’s acquisition of Ithaca. For the 5 years prior to joining GCN Talent, Katharine ran her own own headhunting operation, 2BZ Ltd, and has built an extensive and strong network of contacts.
The Global Conference Network was co-founded and is managed by Rory Ross Russell and Claire Wormsley, ex-board members of Informa UK and Incisive Media respectively. The Network runs the Conference Awards and the Conference Summit, together with a host of peer-to-peer networking events throughout the year.
