During her two decades of working in the events industry, Claire has built extensive knowledge and networks. She is involved in multiple ways in furthering the industry’s development and success, from benchmarking to graduate development to promoting women and developing best practice. As founder of The Media House, Claire runs a training and consultancy company for events, associations and venues, and as co-founder of the Global Conference Network, she runs large-scale events, including awards and summits, which facilitate dialogue and strategic thinking within the industry.

Claire has experience on a number of boards, including exhibition and technology companies. She is also a trustee of a multi-academy trust and two charities.

Rory Ross-Rusell

Rory Ross Russell has been working in the events industry for 30 years. Starting at IBC, which then became Informa, he was in marketing for many years and became Marketing Director for IBC USA in Boston and then Informa UK in London.

He set up his own business in 2007 and now specialises in launching and running awards events. He has co-founded 3 companies, the Global Conference Network with Claire Wormsley, which includes the Conference Awards and London Venue Awards in its portfolio, as well as Football Business Awards Ltd and R3 Events which manages awards events on behalf of third parties, including the Bett Awards.
