Head of Events Marketing & Delivery – Technology Brand

Our client is a global media company, home to iconic brands and award-winning content which reaches 84 million consumers in print, 367 million in digital and 379 million across social platforms, and generates more than 1 billion video views each month.

The company is headquartered in London and New York, and operates in 32 markets worldwide, including China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico & Latin America, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, the U.K. and the U.S., with local license partners across the globe.

They are currently looking for a Head of Events Marketing and Delivery for one of their key brands. You will work closely with the editorial team in London to create and deliver European-market events, conferences and experiences. 

About you

The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, visionary and competitive as they drive the success of the portfolio, leading efforts in event brand awareness, audience development, partnership delivery and revenue. 

This leadership role requires a commercially minded events professional with strong marketing, project management and organisational skills and proven success in lead generation, audience growth, customer service and delegate advocacy.

You will have experience in digital events and be technologically savvy, deadline driven and adaptable, with a calm confidence to manage both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication and impeccable phone manner are must-haves, as well as strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving attitude, and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced, ‘all-hands-on-deck’ team environment.

The successful candidate will have:

Degree-level education or equivalent

At least 8-10 years of experience in B2B events/events marketing (full-time roles)

Excellent leadership, team and project management skills

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Deadline- and target-driven

Ideally an interest in technology and innovation

Self-motivated and independent, but proactive team player with interpersonal skills
