Our client runs over 80 international conferences and forums every year, with a thriving programme that is always expanding. Their portfolio spans numerous industry sectors and geographical regions. Due to company growth and the corresponding expansion of the venue sourcing team, they are looking to recruit a new Head of Venue Sourcing.
You’ll be responsible for leading the venue sourcing team in procuring over 80 contracts annually across the UK, US, Europe and Asia – with personal responsibility for the larger and more complex contracts.
You’ll need the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at the same time whilst working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines and budgets. We are also looking for a positive individual with a ‘can-do’ and solution-focused attitude who is an excellent negotiator and who possesses excellent communication and administrative skills.
The successful candidate must have at least 4 + years of experience in sourcing, procurement and contracting – whether this be venue-based or within other relevant sectors. Experience of managing other team members is also a must as the role is responsible for 2 other people.
Due to the locations of the venues being sourced, including Asia and the USA, flexibility in working hours may be required at times. You’ll be joining a growing company with market leading global events, a vibrant culture and incentives – that might include yacht trips to the south of France!
