This is a rare opportunity to join the senior events leadership team at one of the UK’s leading global B2B publishing and events companies.
You will lead and grow a multi-million-pound P&L across the recently restructured events business. The division will stage more than 200 events virtually, physically, and in a blended format in 2021, representing the majority of the Group’s events portfolio. In effect the number two to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in the development and growth of the business as the market recovers.
You will drive strategy and vision with particular emphasis on the product proposition across the various sectors/brands to create a successful digital/physical blended events model. You will develop a centre of excellence in content/product creation and drive product innovation across existing portfolios and different business models, including membership groups.
You will lead and manage a product leadership team of 9 direct reports in FY21 and a wider global team of 34, with growth planned as the events sector recovers. You will work hand-in-glove with other members of the senior leadership team with joint responsibility for setting out a vision of excellence and for the ultimate commercial success of the business.
We’re looking for an exceptional leader from the B2B conference sector, with particular expertise in LSEs. You will almost definitely come from a research/content/product background.
You will be a superb people manager, influencer and collaborator with proven success in an entrepreneurial and dynamic change environment.
You must have a proven track record in product development and launch in an international context and success in managing a large P&L and driving growth.
Salary and bonuses will be commensurate with the very senior nature of this role, with the possible opportunity to participate in a longer-term incentive scheme.
