During the current disrupted period, our client has successfully pivoted to a virtual event experience, with great success. They have already delivered multiple virtual events and a series of webinars with fantastic results and are seeing repeat sponsorship business off the back of this.
They are now looking for an intelligent, proactive and experienced Sales Manager to lead a small sponsorship sales team across their B2B Life Sciences event portfolio. As a ‘selling manager’, you will join a high performing sales team that has more than trebled its annual revenue over the past two years! This is a great opportunity for a sales professional looking to take the next step in their career; although some management experience would be ideal, we would also like to talk to candidates without this who feel that they are ready to take the ‘next step’ into a management role.
This role involves more than leading a team selling high value sponsorship and exhibition packages, with the successful applicant also taking responsibility for working closely with our client’s Conference Producers to launch and scale events, influence event strategy, and feed high levels of market intelligence back into the campaign.
This person needs to be hands-on, enthusiastic, ambitious and flexible with a strong work ethic. You’ll need a minimum of five years’ experience in B2B events sales and a proven track record of portfolio selling and delivering growth. Ideally, some of this experience will be in a management capacity, but they will also consider candidates who feel ready to step into a management role.
You’ll receive a highly competitive base salary and uncapped commission which you’ll earn on every deal you and your team bring in. You’ll have flexible/remote working options, although must be able to travel to a London office if required. You’ll also benefit from regular training and development and real opportunities for progression.
