Our client has grown into a truly international business, with a portfolio of events and media brands across a range of vertical markets. Their 500 employees based in nine offices worldwide specialise in delivering first class marketing, networking, and information solutions in high value sectors, both in mature and emerging geographies.
They have a thriving and profitable business within the global energy sector, including the two largest conferences for oil and gas in the world. These events sit at the intersection between the oil and gas sector and investment and finance and are the acknowledged leading event brands for the sector.
They are looking for an exceptional consultative sales professional, happy to relocate to Singapore, to drive sponsorship sales across these events and one other. This is a brilliant opportunity to get involved with a business that can boast over 80% client retention over the last two years – with ambitious but realistic portfolio expansion plans based on recent acquisitions. You’ll work across three events, with a 40/60 split across existing and new business.
You will need to have a good understanding of sales processes and methodologies and be able to demonstrate consistent success in consultative sponsorship sales, delegate sales or B2B account management-based sales (our client operates a key account management system, so you will likely be selling multiple-event deals across geographies).
You must have face-to-face sales experience and if this comes from the finance/investment sector, so much the better. Experience of selling the one-to-one meeting model would also be very useful. An energy sector background is not a prerequisite.
You’ll be rewarded with a very competitive base salary and the opportunity to earn excellent commission, based on a flat rate percentage on sales. You’ll also be joining a highly successful, entrepreneurial business with real opportunity for career progression. Full assistance with relocation will be given, with the option to be based in London for the first 6 months or so as you learn the nuts and bolts of the business. Salary equivalent in GBP is approximately £49,600 and payment would be local in Singapore dollars once you have transferred.
